CAE Jr Analyst – Meshing
Scope of Role
The CAE Engineer will be responsible to carry out Squeak and Rattle analysis on Interior trims at sub-system & component level and model build of plastic parts.
Area of Responsibility:
The CAE Engineer will be responsible to carry out Interior Trim analysis at sub-system & component level to assist in the design of a product or to verify & validate a product design and to meet the OEM requirements. As part of performing the analysis, the CAE engineer may also build and assemble the mesh model of the sub-system/component that is being analysed. The CAE Engineer analyse the results to arrive at a set of engineering conclusions and recommendations related to the product design or design verification. He will be responsible for summarizing results and feedback conclusions to customers in an efficient manner.
- Creation of CAE Models [Sub- System / Component level including surrounding BIW parts] for Squeak & Rattle Able to model/debug Interior trim assemblies using Hypermesh/Optistruct/Nastrana Must run Squeak & Rattle analysis using Edware software, Diagnose results and feedback conclusions to customers in an efficient manner.
- Must have experience on Modal and Frequency response analysis using Optistruct or Nastrana Having experience in Static/Dynamic/ Linear/Non-linear analysis on interior trim parts Have knowledge of various plastic materials an d understanding of plastic material behaviour & failure Able to work effectively with Design Engineer/Lead Engineers to provide Design & Technical guidance for product development and performance Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions.
- He/she should be able to meet quality and schedule timeline criteria as agreed with CAE team leader and customer He/she is expected to communicate regularly & Proactively with his team leader regarding progress of the tasks and completion of individual milestones that are associated with that project Essential Must have 6+ years experience in Squeak and Rattle analysis of Interior trim assemblies.
- Experience desirable in Strength, Stiffness, Impact & Abuse analysis of Interior trims like Upper & Lower trims, Headliners, Sun-visors, Load space Side trims, Load floor, Parcel tray â€¢ Must have tools skillset- Edware, Optistruct, Nastran, Hyperworks, Exposure to LSDYNA, Oasys Primer, D3PLOT, Abaqus Working knowledge of Teamcenter/3D Experience Excellent communications skills, ability to communicate at all levels PC Lite racy: Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering ME/M.Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering preferred
